A thousand Splendid Suns

What sets “A Thousand Splendid Suns” poles apart from any other book, is the way the story is narrated; one can visualize and experience every incident as you keep reading it. When I read the book I can actually feel the pain of each character as they play their characters. There is something to make every reader cry, no matter how much strong mentally he is. The touching incidents like - the friend who waits deligently, the lovers who got separated with the blink of an eye, the daughter who is rejected for no mistake of her own, the wife who is repeatedly beaten and abused, the mother who helplessly watches her baby die at her feet, the father who is unable to express his love for his daughter, in his entire life...and many more heart touching incidents, effectively narrated by an author in this book, as if it is happening in front of our eyes. In my opinion, every character is etched out perfectly. Even after finished reading books those characters are still remaining in our memory. Hats off to you Khaled Hosseini, for a splendid book.
